Beavertown Brewery opens first pub

Beavertown Brewery is opening its first pub, Corner Pin, in their home in the heart of Tottenham, North London, on Wednesday September 1st, 2021.

The site is opposite the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, extends over three floors and has a sun-drenched beer garden for the warmer months.

A pub has stood in the square in Tottenham for generations and has been called “The Corner Pin” since the 1970s, but has more recently been used as the former Tottenham Hotspur ticket office. The restoration of Corner Pin in Beavertown will restore the site to its former glory and bring something new to the area.
The beer list features the full range of Beavertown beers on tap, including Neck Oil, Gamma Ray, Lupuloid, and the new Lager Bones.

New pub for pub groups in South London

The pub group Livelyhood from South London will open Rosy Hue on the corner of the new two hectare park within the Elephant Park regeneration in February 2022.

The 3,100 m² and 150 covered venue is a newly built pub that mixes old and new in its furnishings, fittings and furnishings. There is also a heated covered terrace with space for an additional 54 loungers.

Inspired by the 19th century penny gaffs for which the area was once known, the pub takes its name from the rosy cheeks of visitors.

The new opening will expand the portfolio of the pub group in south London to eight, with the Rosy Hue in Clapham North and the Perky Nel in Clapham, the Regent in Balham, the Faber Fox in Wimbledon, the Old Frizzle in Wimbledon, the Mere Scribbler in Streatham and the Artful Duke (pictured), which opens in Bromley this month.

The Inn Collection Group adds a famous York venue

The Inn Collection Group has secured the historic York property, the Dean Court Hotel, while expanding its pubs with rooms in the north of England.

The Grade II listed building is close to attractions such as the Jorvik Viking Center, the historic Shambles and the National Railway Museum, and overlooks York Minster.

The 40-bedroom website is now trading under the Inn Collection Group’s flagship Eat, Drink, Sleep and Explore brand.

The undisclosed deal brings the total number of Inn Collection Group locations to 25 and is the fifth location in Yorkshire as the group continues to expand its market base in the county with additional acquisitions in the pipeline.

Lunar Pub Company confirms the opening date for the opening of the second location

The Lunar Pub Company will open its second location – Ganymede – in Belgravia on September 7th. The 2,500 square meter site, which was designed by NOVO Design House, is located on Ebury Street and is divided into a bar with 30 seats and a dining room with 55 seats.

Ganymede offers refined and innovative British cuisine seven days a week for lunch and dinner, including Saturday brunch and Sunday roast. The menu was created by Oliver Marlowe and the newly appointed Head Chef Daniel Mertl, who previously held positions in renowned restaurants such as Chez Bruce, Noize and the Michelin-starred The Glasshouse.

The 55-seat dining room serves a menu that changes daily, while a 30-seat bar area houses an extensive wine list and signature cocktails alongside a range of first-class spirits, as well as lager and real ales.

Sixes is expanding outside of London

Sixes the immersive cricket experience opens its third location in Manchester this month (August).

Founded by Calum Mackinnon and Andy Waugh of London’s Mac & Wild Restaurants, the brand brings the social cricket and Great British BBQ experience to the city’s Corn Exchange on Cathedral Street.

In addition to a champagne bar, the venue offers a bar with 70 seats and a dining area as well as an open kitchen with Robata grill.

Peckham Levels will reopen after the overhaul

Peckham Levels, the destination in the heart of SE15, has reopened after a complete renovation.

The venue’s bars, Near far and Lady Godiva, Are open again and ready to serve a wide variety of ice cold cocktails, wine, craft beers, spirits and more.

In the course of the new renovation, seven street food dealers, exciting retailers and new, optimized rooms for eating, drinking and socializing have been added.

Each bar will also host a variety of events later in the year.

New to Peckham Levels this year is Old Spike Roastery, a very special coffee roastery and social enterprise that donates 65% of its profits to help the homeless.
