Four lucky Bay Area lottery players joined forces to recently win more than $ 18 million in Scratchers tickets, including an eight-figure winner in North Bay, according to the California Lottery.
In Petaluma, Sylvia Garcia fetched $ 10 million for an Ultimate Millions Scratchers ticket she bought at 7-Eleven on the Lakeville Highway. Garcia told lottery officials that she plans to buy a home, start a business, and invest her winnings.
In the East Bay, Romeo Quinto Jr. won a $ 5 million jackpot on a Luck Scratchers ticket, according to the lottery. He bought his payout ticket at Fallon Gate Chevron, 2760 Dublin Boulevard in Dublin, where he stopped by for a car wash, but the line was too full so he decided to get a drink and a Scratchers ticket instead, he told lottery officials.
Quinto said he plans to pay off debts, help others, and invest his price.
Also in the East Bay, Jai McLin fetched $ 2 million for an Instant Prize Crossword Scratchers ticket, which the lottery says he bought at Oakland Liquor & Market, 1335 17th St., Oakland.
And down on South Bay, Hue Tiet took home $ 1.2 million after playing a Set For Life Scratchers ticket he got at Jackson Pure Water, 301 N. Jackson Ave. in San Jose, said the lottery.
In the lottery drawing games, the jackpots grow again. There were no jackpot winners in the Mega Millions drawing on Friday night, so the jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing is estimated at $ 128 million.
In the Saturday night draw, the Powerball jackpot is estimated to be $ 150 million and the Superlotto Plus draw is $ 8 million.
