With retro sneaker styles still on trend, Nike doesn’t hesitate to give some old-school silhouettes a makeover. Known for its sporty ’90s aesthetic, the Nike Air Max 96 II will see a sleek “Sail†offering that upgrades the classic triple white color many times over.
In a minimalist manner, this new pair shows its usual mesh upper material in a calming “sail” tone. Although the chevron-like overlays are often a place for light hues, for a monochromatic look they are in the off-white hue mentioned above. However, gray beige accents are used throughout the model for a touch of contrast. These splashes of color can be found as decals on the tongue, leather pads on the toe and in the Air Max element. After all, the sole has a similar look to its predecessor, the Nike Air Max 95, and is kept in a bright white to complete the tonal style.
