The perception of WhatsApp users is increasingly being refined. The messaging app changed its look for Brazilians this Thursday (16) and a lot of people were scared of the news.

An update brought slightly changed colors in light and dark mode to improve the display of messages. In dark mode, for example, the background has taken on a more intense black tone instead of the grayish version, while the send button has a more closed green.
On the main screen, users of the light theme should also notice a more noticeable green compared to the old shade. The status bar at the top of the app is now the same color as the Android header, like it’s a thing.

This was a new version released for beta users of the app three weeks ago, but this week the stable version quietly started to come out. That discretion didn’t help as a lot of people went to Twitter to complain about the new look or just to play with the revamped look:

WhatsApp has not yet officially commented on the change, as it is an inheritance from the beta version, it is very likely that the new look will be final. The way is to get used to the new color of the app or to complain on Twitter.
