The twitterati are all here for this suit! After all, what is not to love about an explosion back into our pre-pandemic past? If a CBS news reporter tweeted a shot of Biden and Obama, one person referring to the original “boldness of taupe” by Time reporter Molly Ball tweet while Another said “Obama still wore it better. But thank you Joe.” Someone posted a photo of Mitch McConnell in a tan that someone else immediately posted answered “No. Doesn’t suit him.”
There were a few cranks like that though one who complained “Joe Biden looks terrible in a brown suit,” the suit and its wearer mostly got a big Twitter thumbs up Remarks like “I love this brown suit. Keep it up @POTUS” and “Love your hard work AND your brown suit! Keep it up!” as well as pun-tastic “YES, WE FIRST!”
A number of Twitter users credited Biden with the shrewd sense of humor it took to revive the scandalous suit color. saying, “I know @POTUS Fox News trolls, but damn it, he looks good doing it” and “I love you @POTUS. You know how to cast the best shadows.” The love of suits seemed to dominate the political discourse of the day, so who knows? Perhaps there is still some “taupe” left over for a divided nation.
