In April, Saweetie turned into a blonde bombshell with a stunning honey blonde hue. The light blonde hair has gotten its fair share of love braided ponytails, chic topknot, and other fire hairstyles for a couple of months. Then in September, to the delight of her fans, the Bay Area rapper brushed her light hair in a sweet shade of ginger. Now she’s swapping the coppery hair color for a much lighter shade of red which is really phenomenal.
The icy queen shared the new sugar apple red hair color on an Instagram carousel on October 13th. This red shade is light with a capital B and she wears it well. There’s a slight ombré effect at the roots where the color fades from black to scarlet for a seamless look. The long, straight hair falls past her waist and has been styled with a section in the middle and two braids through the front half of the hair. The bright red braids were crossed and pinned at the back of the middle of the head.
Who would Saweetie be without a hairline full of laid edges? Her baby hair was no doubt straightened, curled, and curled with skill. Saweetie seems to fully embrace her red hair era, and we just can’t get enough right now. There’s no telling how long she’ll keep that particular shade of red (for the record, we think she’d look phenomenal with a maroon hue or a lighter orange), but we can’t wait to see what’s next.
