The Korea Land & Housing Corporation is planning to develop two industrial areas and a total of over 1,800 hectares of urban area in the central province of Thua Thien Hue.

According to the province’s electronic information portal, the South Korean company will develop the 115 hectare Chan May Industrial Park for 34.56 million US dollars, a 700 hectare industrial and high-tech zone and a 1,000 hectare urban area that is under construction located economic zone Chan May-Lang Co.

In 2019, the provincial authorities signed a letter of intent with the company to develop part of the Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone, 45 km from Phu Bai International Airport in the north and 30 km from Da Nang International Airport in the south. With a total area of ​​27,108 hectares, Chan May-Lang Co is designed for five functional zones.

Thua Thien Hue compiles a list of projects that require investment in the 2021-2022 period and uses project management software to connect provincial authorities with companies and help them monitor investment progress, said Nguyen Dai Vui, director of the Provincial Planning and Investment Department.

The provincial authorities recently signed a letter of intent with a Japanese retailer, AeonMall Vietnam, to explore the construction of a commercial center with an estimated total investment of US $ 150-160 million in Hue Town Province.
