slipknot‘S”tortilla man‘ was finally debunked.

The mystery drummer, who joined The Knot in 2019 following the departure of a longtime member Chris Foehnwas officially identified as Michael Paff. Slipknot confirmed the news in one Instagram Post announcing a Reddit AMA with Pfaff.

It’s long been rumored that Pfaff was the person behind Tortilla Man – a nickname he earned thanks to his mask’s golden hue – and fans pointed out that he had previously starred in it M.Shawn “Clown” Crahan‘S Dirty little rabbits side project. This theory seemed to be proven true when a photo of a clown drummer appeared Jay Weinberg and someone who looked a lot like Pfaff was spotted at Slovenia’s tourist attraction Postojna Cave during Slipknot’s 2020 European tour.

Despite all the rumours, Slipknot has never officially revealed Pfaff’s identity to date. When Kerrang! When Clown asked who Tortilla Man was during a 2019 interview, Clown replied, “The position you may or may not be talking about is nobody’s business.”

What caused Slipknot’s change of heart, we may never know. Perhaps not coincidentally, the band’s Knotfest Roadshow tour kicks off tonight in Fargo, North Dakota.
