Pensacola gets bodied by shapewear store Chazz on Pace Boulevard
Chassidy Bush’s entrepreneurial journey started more than a year ago in the Town & Country Plaza parking lot. Bush, who was just ending her marriage, needed a way to support herself and her two children.
“I started brainstorming,” Bush said. “After my babies were born, I weighed almost 200 pounds. I was dissatisfied with my appearance and wanted to regain my self-confidence. So I started selling waist trainers in the Town & Country parking lot.”
Still, the future of Bodied By Chazz, their fledgling company, was uncertain.

“I was scared,” Bush said. “I’ve always let myself be talked out of it. But one day I woke up and decided to do it. I prayed to God and said, ‘God, if it’s my time, if it’s for me, let it flourish.’”
And that’s when things started to take shape – literally.
“I started selling online,” Bush said. “I started meeting people at the flea market on the weekends to rate them. I never thought I would have my own shop so soon.”
On March 12, Bush cut the ribbon for their new location at 3300 N. Pace Blvd. in Pensacola.
“This place is so close and dear to me,” Bush said. “It’s in the Town & Country Plaza, where it all started. The support I’ve received so far has been unreal.”
According to Bush, her new space went unoccupied for years before she took it over. It had no flooring and needed a fresh coat of purple paint.
“I love purple,” Bush said. “It’s royal. It’s a very different shade, but that’s what I went for.”
But purple isn’t the only color that comes first at Bodied By Chazz. A wide range of shapewear including waist trainers, fitness wear and fajas for women who have undergone weight loss are available in colors such as black and pink.
“There are many events coming up,” Bush said. “Graduations and weddings. But you don’t have to have an upcoming event to wear shapewear. I want to help build women’s confidence and my shop offers a private atmosphere.
“Women can be confident when they first walk in, so there’s no shame, no judgement. We all suffer from insecurities, so it is important to uplift and empower women and help them start their own personal journey.”
Bodied by Chazz is open Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm, Friday from 12pm to 7pm and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. For more information, see bodybychazz.com or call 850-741-2615.
