Vocus has promoted Jarrod Nink from his position as General Manager to become the new Chief Executive, Wholesale and International.

Nink takes over from Mark Callander, who was recently appointed to lead the merger Orcon group with 2 degrees in New Zealand.

Nink has been with Vocus since 2018 and was General Manager for Wholesale and International.

Prior to taking on his new role, he previously held a number of Australian and global senior roles specializing in wholesale and international telecoms, including at 3 UK, Hue Global Solutions, Vodafone Australia and Hutchison Telecoms.

“Under Mark, Jarrod has led the wholesale and international team since August 2019, helping to build a strong team that strives to be the provider of choice for businesses requiring high-bandwidth services to and across Australia,” said Kevin Russell, CEO of Vocus.

“We are delivering more fiber infrastructure and more capacity across our network, and I look forward to Jarrod continuing to grow our thriving wholesale business during this exciting time.”

The announcement coincides with Vocus enrolling as a member of Supply Nation, capitalizing on its network and knowledge of certified Indigenous Australian businesses.

Steffen Schwarz, Vocus Group’s Head of Commercial and Business Optimization, said building a sustainable and socially responsible supply chain is part of the telecom company’s commitment to making a positive social impact and part of its efforts to reduce its environmental footprint.

“Supply Nation maintains the largest national database of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander companies, which will help us accelerate the process of giving underrepresented companies the same opportunities as any other qualified supplier to win business with Vocus,” he said.
