Hopworks Urban Brewery releases Chuckle Cone’s Whole Cone IPA

Portland, Oregon – Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB), the Pacific Northwest’s first B Corp brewery, has released a new limited release in the wild: Chuckle Cones Whole Cone IPA.

This balanced and flavorful IPA has a rich golden hue and flavors of peach, pineapple and sweet orange. The beer features guava and apricot hop flavors with a balanced finish. The name is a nod to the full Chinook and Idaho 7 hop cones that are added to the back of the hops during brewing, bringing the fruity terpenes to the fore.

“It was fun making this beer as a throwback to the earlier days of pre-hop pellet brewing,” said Ryan Pappe, head brewer at Hopworks. “Adding those whole cones to the back of hops gives Chuckle Cones next-level fruity, lemony aromas and flavors that just keep you wanting to try!”

Chuckle Cone’s Whole Cone IPA is 66 IBU and 6.7% ABV. It is brewed and fermented with Cascade, Centennial, El Dorado and Mosaic hops, with Whole Cone Chinook and Idaho 7 hops in the hop back.

Chuckle Cones is a limited edition on tap through May and is available in 16 oz. available. 4-packs at grocery stores, bottle stores and at both Hopworks’ locations on SE Powell Boulevard in Portland and SE Mill Plain Boulevard in Vancouver, Washington.
