Cheval Blanc Courchevel The epitome of mountain elegance

Cheval Blanc Courchevel is probably the most beautiful palace in the French Alps. Tucked away in the renowned French ski resort of Courchevel in Savoy, Cheval Blanc CourchevelPart of the LVMH Group, received the Palace award in 2011. Located in the largest ski area in the world “Les 3Vallées”, 85% of the domain is over 1800 meters, 600 km of slopes and a ski pass for the seven resorts including Meribel, Val Thorens, Les Menuires, the property is the most exclusive ski area.

Very good accessibility: the Altiport is about 5 minutes by car from the hotel. Greeted by contemporary artist Bruno Peinado’s resplendent and colossal ‘Mirror Horse’, the resort’s reflective landmark, with its luminous ocher facade, already sets the tone of the wooden chalet retreat.

Opened in 2006, the Cheval Blanc Courchevel, the first of the Cheval Blanc collection, which includes St Barths, Randheli in the Maldives, St Tropez and Paris, was the reference for the following projects. Conceived as a modern and very warm retreat, Cheval Blanc Courchevel offers just 36 rooms and suites. Behind a typical wooden mountain facade, guests experience a very modern, extremely comfortable and ultra-fine chalet without artifice.

The excellent service reflects the codes of Cheval Blanc, luxurious, discreet with meticulous attention to detail, as in its design. interior architect Sybille de Margerie who has worked with Cheval Blanc since the beginning of the adventure, describes the interiors of the estate as “a luxury of immaterial dimension and unobtrusive comfort”. “We committed to making the property different than in the mountains, we broke the codes”. A pioneer in mountain hospitality, where rustic and mountainous decoration prevails. “It’s a property you have to experience to make your own”, said the architect. Inside the property, Sybille de Margerie mixed invisible materials such as Murano glass or Zerbano marble, textures and colors that evoke emotions. She combined light colors such as aniseed green, ultraviolet, Pepsi orange or poppy red with brownish grey, the characteristic color of Cheval Blanc.

Every detail has been carefully considered and no concessions have been made when it comes to comfort. Cheval Blanc excels in all areas, it is both very elegant and extremely comfortable. Strolling inside, numerous poetic references can be found here and there: musical wooden owls in the bathroom to help you relax in your bath, stuffed sheep in the hallways for a humorous touch, and so many details that surprise guests, like a dedicated space in the changing rooms to hang up your ski gear and snowshoes.

Spectacular wellness area

It is definitely the most spectacular spa in the French Alps. Cheval Blanc and Guerlain have combined all the superlatives of cold, altitude and winter sports to offer each guest exclusively tailored treatments. Whether you want to relax or to strengthen and rejuvenate your skin, each treatment is made for you. A special experience was created exclusively for Cheval Blanc Courchevel. The quiet atmosphere of the entire wellness area invites you to deep relaxation in a very contemporary ambience.

High gourmet experience

Le 1947. Named after the most prestigious vintage of Chateau Cheval Blanc, le 1947 is the only restaurant in Courchevel with three Michelin stars. The French chef Yannick Alléno runs the extraordinary place and offers a modern cuisine with a high identity. A very tasty and surprising adventure on the theme of Savoy. Chef Yannick Alléno works his magic with local products while respecting the terroirs and the altitude. An incredible gourmet experience in a tranquil decor beautifully designed by Sybille de Margerie, where wood, stone, leather and porcelain are in harmony. Only 22 guests can enjoy the innovative evening menu.

Le Restaurant de Cheval Blanc Courchevel on the ground floor, decorated by the famous New York architect Peter Marino, is lively and very elegant. During the day, guests can enjoy Yannick Alléno’s menu, which offers creative cuisine with its flora. The restaurant opens onto the Jardin Alpin.

Cheval Blanc Courchevel has completely reinvented mountain holidays. And above all, living the experience is key to understanding what makes Cheval Blanc so different from the rest of the properties. You have to feel the place with your own senses to understand this absolutely unique palace.
