California is the only US state improving to the yellow “moderate” COVID-19 transmission rate

New figures from the CDC show promising signs of California’s response to the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the latest CDC data, California has improved to the yellow “moderate” color code on the agency’s COVID-19 community broadcast level. According to Monday’s data, seven states are in the orange “significant” community level, while 42 other states are in the “high” community level.

Califonia is the only state in the country that is in the yellow “moderate” level. The state has reported an average of 34.4 cases per 100,000 people in the past seven days, reports CDC.

The following states are in the orange “essential” level: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, and Mississippi.

Across the country in the United States, the community transmission rate of the red “high” color code is 142.9 cases in the past seven days per 100,000 people, reports CDC.
