Bobby Berk says Adele predicted the hot new hue that will permeate our homes this fall. The 33-year-old singer recently revealed the highly anticipated single Just with me after a six-year break.

The atmospheric music video for her piano ballad has already received 115 million views on YouTube. Because of this, interior designer Bobby Berk believes we have a lot more of the maroon decor that shows up towards the end.

Given that interior design trends are so often inspired by the world of television, film, and fashion, we think it is pointing to something …

“Interior design trends are inspired by pretty much anything and everything you can imagine,” comments Bobby. “And this fall, it looks like one of the world’s greatest pop stars predicted the latest.”

Write on his Blog, the Strange eye Furnishing expert says the abundance of burgundy, ox blood and maroon in Adele’s music video “got us excited about this rich, autumnal hue”.

While much of the music video was shot in black and white, Adele fans will have noticed the shift towards color towards the end. For the last minute or two we see Adele singing in a room painted a deep burgundy tone.

The rich reds permeate the curtains and antique furniture, as well as Adele’s outfit and nails. Red paint is often seen as a bold move when it comes to decorating large wall surfaces as it is so closely associated with danger and passion.

But a less lighter and more stimulating shade with more black and browns – like maroon – might work well alongside neutral colors for the living room. A new maroon decor trend could also be very livable.

We love the idea of bringing fall foliage, candles, pillows, and blankets into our living spaces in earthy red tones, in a subtle nod to Adele’s video.

Alternatively, a rich red could be a brilliant hallway color scheme that brings some warmth to an area we are just crossing. If you ask us, there is something opulent about using the color of your favorite glass of red wine in your home decor.

We have no doubt that thanks to Adele’s long awaited new song, a touch of atmospheric maroon will permeate our interiors.
